Queensland’s next generation aerospace, defence, and transport technologies industry

Queensland is a hub for aerospace, aviation and advanced transport research with an existing base of contractors, businesses, research groups and industry-research collaborations.

The state has established one of the world's largest commercial unmanned flight test facilities and is home to Australia’s first Defence Cooperative Research Centre, the Trusted Autonomous Systems Defence CRC, delivering world-leading autonomous and robotic technologies.

The Queensland Government is running the largest on-road testing trial in Australia of cooperative vehicles and infrastructure along the world's longest electric superhighway in a single state. To support this, we have a regulatory environment that encourages the use and development of renewable transport fuels.

This visualisation shows the relationships between the state’s leading research centres and innovation hubs and how they support the next generation aerospace, defence, and transport technologies.
