ARC Training Centre for Biopharmaceutical Innovation (CBI)

ARC Training Centre for Biopharmaceutical Innovation, The Australian Research Council

The Centre for Biopharmaceutical Innovation combines The University of Queensland research and development with manufacturing expertise and capabilities of the industry partners. CBI conducts industry-driven research across three themes: discovery of new biopharmaceuticals and diagnostic agents; development of mammalian cells as factories for recombinant protein production; and advanced manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals. The CBI is located within the Australian institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology and collaborates with the co-located National Biologics Facility.
