The collaborative whole-of-lifecycle approach to research by Centre for Clean Energy Technologies and Practices focuses on the development of sustainable, low-emissions, high-efficiency systems for energy generation, distribution and use. The centre draws on QUT’s extensive research expertise and cutting-edge technical capacity. Spanning discipline boundaries to achieve high-impact research outcomes, the centre brings together researchers from across the university to drive integrated solutions addressing the technical, social and practical dimensions of a cleaner energy future. Our research programs are: renewable power generation; energy storage systems; future energy systems; superconductivity and applications; green hydrogen and biofuels; energy 4.0; power electronics and e-grid; energy in buildings and industry; and people, practices, policies to lead the economy.
