Critical Care Research Group (CCRG)
Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Queensland Health, Queensland Government
The Critical Care Research Group is Australia’s largest multidisciplinary critical care research group. Our clinician-driven research focuses upon the issues that face critically ill patients and finding new and revolutionising existing treatment methods for hard-to-treat diseases. Through our research, we aim to improve survival rates and quality of life for patients with life-threatening conditions, such as heart disease, lung disease, sepsis and other critical conditions. The CCRG is the instigator and lead of COVID-19 Critical Care Consortium (COVID Critical) - a global alliance of healthcare professionals and researchers committed to identifying the most effective treatments for critically ill COVID-19 patients. CCRG includes PRIMElab, Australia’s largest research facility for testing the efficacy and safety of new medical and surgical interventions.
