Economic Geology Research Centre (EGRU)

James Cook University

EGRU is an industry-funded centre that has facilitated interaction between researchers, students and the global resources industry for 40 years. Through its extensive network EGRU has built strong connections and productive working relationships with industry and governments in Queensland, in Australia, and internationally. The Centre promotes collaborative research with industry and governments and offers professional development training to the resources industry. EGRU’s collaboration with industry fosters applied and relevant research and the rapid dissemination of research results to the exploration and development of mineral resources. EGRU also works with its industry network to develop relevant training and skills development for students, graduates and professional geoscientists.
