The Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) is a tertiary teaching hospital servicing a local population of around 450,000 across all parts of the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions. In addition to the standard medical, surgical and allied health services expected of a major health facility, SCUH is also the site of the Sunshine Coast Health Institute (SCHI), a collaborative partnership between the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, the University of the Sunshine Coast, Griffith University and TAFE Queensland, providing a dedicated education, training and research facility, contributing to SCUH’s vision of providing excellent care through collaboration, enquiry and education.
