The Centre for Indigenous Health Equity Research (CIHER) is a flagship for Indigenous health equity research in Northern Australia. CIHER conducts high-impact applied research to ensure that Indigenous nations gain full and equal access to opportunities that enable them to lead healthy lives. Directed by Professor Adrian Miller of the Jirrbal people of North Queensland, CIHER has a national focus and extended international networks with research groups, communities, services, government and industry to collaboratively meet the priority health needs and aspirations of local and international Indigenous communities.
