The Centre undertakes experimental and theoretical studies of the dynamics of quantum systems. CQD aims to apply knowledge of quantum dynamics to future technologies such as the quantum internet and laser-accelerated particle therapy. The Centre’s theoretical and experimental physicists are encouraged to exchange ideas and work collaboratively, making for an exciting environment where boundaries are pushed every day. The Centre’s key research themes are: quantum information processing laboratories; ultrafast quantum dynamics experiments; quantum biophysics; and quantum foundations, information, and control theory.
