Queensland Conservatorium is one of Australia’s leading music schools, offering a wide variety of specialist degrees, from classical music, jazz, opera, and popular music to musical theatre, music technology and music education. The Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre (QCRC) undertakes leading-edge research that tackles the complex and multi-faceted role that music plays in contemporary society. Griffith is one of Australia’s leading comprehensive research universities with strengths ranging from the physical and natural sciences, engineering, IT, health and medicine through to creative arts, social sciences and humanities. Griffith University ranks in the top 3 per cent of universities worldwide, and also ranks highly as a young university – 34th in the 2016/17 QS University Rankings Top 50 Under 50. Spanning five campuses in South East Queensland it has around 50,000 students and more than 3,000 academics who engage in learning, teaching and research-related activity.
