CSIRO Health and Biosecurity Business Unit (CSIRO H&B)

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Department of Industry Innovation and Science, Australian Government

CSIRO's Health and Biosecurity research helps Australia prepare and respond to health and biosecurity risks, and to create health and resilient populations and health systems. Research in the Business Unit (a) enables the digital transformation of healthcare to improve services and clinical treatment for Australians, (b) improves the health and nutrition of Australians and (c) protects Australian agriculture and the environment from the threats of exotics pests, weeds and diseases. We achieve this through collaborations with multiple agencies across the Queensland innovation system (incl. universities, government research agencies, indigenous agencies, NGOs), and in close partnership with industry stakeholders and end-users.
